SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ANSWER IS TO INCREASING WEALTH IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY OVER THE NEXT 8 TO 10 YEARS?
SHOULD YOU BUY A TWO-FLAT? INVEST IN STOCKS WHILE THEY'RE CHEAP? LAUNCH A BUSINESS? OR PURCHASE A C-D OR BOND?
One can't go wrong by investing in either of the above mentioned options, however, I would have to say a stronger focus on real estate, the stock market, and entrepreneurship is the best choice for wealth development.
ReplyDeleteAlthough CDs and Bonds will generate interest, these products are much better suited for parking your household emergency fund.
To that end, mutual fund expert, Peter Lynch has coined the phrase, 'buy low, sell high'. We are currently in an economy that has caused many good real estate and stock investments to be sold for less than their true value. The market will rise again. Therefore, its buying season.

Real Estate is always a good wealth investment. Right now we are in a market where the values are down but it will turn around. And once it turns around you want to have yourself positioned with good real estate valued deals. It's a "Buyer's Market" so buying now to have later is a good idea especially for rental purposes.
ReplyDeleteThere is an energy company out of Dallas, Texas that has been operating in Illinois for about a year that is giving people the chance to create wealth. It takes a while to do but it is worth the effort to develop, grow, and build wealth. I think this system can help the community.
ReplyDeleteI'm finding it hard to believe that there aren't many more comments on this blog about this subject. Just yesterday I was watching Next TV and the young man from Urban Ponics had a phenomenal idea for bringing greenhouses to the urban areas of Chicago. I wish I could meet him. I would love to work with him on developing this project and bring sustainable wealth creation to the community. When we work together we grow and prosper together.
ReplyDeleteI agree with every single comment above. I also feel that if we don't take advantage of this market, we will miss the opportunity to create wealth as a result of this current economic windfall. I am part of a team of investors that have combined real estate investing with direct sales marketing to generate two streams of income. I have been desperately trying to get the word out about our free workshops and seminars. I have seen people save their homes from foreclosure because of what they have learn from us. It's been a little difficult to get people to move forward and make a change. This is a great time to start a business or add another profitable business to your portfolio. Re-educating ourselves, helping one another, and sharing information is a great way to start.

Today I was reading "The University of Success" by Og Mandino. I advise people to check it out. I think you can find it at the library. Semester six is righteously wicked. We probably need to set up after school seminars for High School Juniors and Seniors or some sort of summer session and teach this stuff to our youth.
