Going green can mean more green in your pocket, both as a consumer and a business owner. Tell us your ideas for green jobs and businesses that can make you money.
Green collar jobs are pathways out of poverty jobs. They allow people to join the career track to the future. It is important that everyone considers the 3 p's when formulating a business plan: people, planet and profit. Stinnette & Brown is excited to participate in the Green Revolution through its green retrofitting construction business. We expect to be not only a resource but an employer of people who have green collar job training. We would like to commend and thank the Chicago Urban League for giving us an opportunity to tell our story through nextTV.
Stinnette & Brown are first responders to the "Green" future. The nexTV segment made me feel very encouraged about the opportunities that lie ahead, especially for minority owned businesses.
I was inspired by the episode this week featuring Stinnette & Brown. It is encouraging to know that people in our community are on the forefront of the next wave! I am interested in finding out more things that I can do in my to save money and energy in my home. I have changed replaced the light bulbs to cfl. Will there be any workshops at the CUL?
After watching the segment with Stinnette & Brown, I felt like this was a company that should be receiving all resources needed to pursue their goals. Stinnette & Brown is not only bringing jobs into the community, but Green Collar Jobs.
FIrst off I would like to say that I am very proud to see young, minority entrepreneurs pursue a goal so innovative as engaging in a whole green revolution, such as Stinnette & Brown. I believe a green revolution leads to a better overall world as well. If more businesses are modeled like Stinnette & Brown our economy will grow more efficiently.
Today's episode on "Going Green" was truly inspiring! Seeing the segment on Stinnette & Brown's great initiative to "Go Green"; will allow the tenants they serve to ultimately benefit from living within a healthier and safer environment.
I hope that Stinnette & Brown receive all the support and resources they need to make the transition to "Go Green"!
As people become more aware and concerned with the condition of the planet, it will be interesting to see the opportunities emerge. As pioneers, Stinnette and Brown are great examples of people who care and they prove it through their work. Hopefully others will see the benefit and follow in their footsteps.
It was great watching the feature on Stinnette & Brown. I was amazed at the impact these three young entreprenuers can have on the green community. The segment had me rooting for their success. I hope Stinnette & Brown continues to educate and bring green concepts to the urban environment. I believe that green collar jobs are the way of the future. Thanks nextTV for getting this information to the community.
The episode featuring Stinette and Brown on Going Green was very informative and is a great initiative to create green jobs within the community. More businesses need to participate in initiatives like this to help the community. I wish Stinette and Brown much success.
With the state of the current economy and the environmental issues we face, going green is an excellent business choice. Many opportunities exist such as harnessing new energy sources (wind, solar, etc.), green construction, parks and open space expansions, and businesses that use recycled materials. Entreprenuers such as Stinnette and Brown are at the forefront of this new wave of thinking. Creating new jobs in a green manner is a worthy initiative and I salute their efforts.
As a preteen, I believe that doing things like turning off the water while brushing your teeth can help the environment in the long run. The owners of Stinnette & Brown have been role models to me. I look forward to learning more about being green.
Stinnette & Brown vision for the future and the green revolution is really exciting. It is good to see our people being forward-thinking and taking advantage of the emerging economy. Thanks CUL and thanks Stinnette & Brown.
I really enjoyed the show. I would like to see more of Stinnette & Brown. I believe the green economy is the burgeoning economy. Minorities need to quickly gain the skills to partipate in this movement. Will the Chicago Urban League be instrumental in providing green collar job training? What resources will be provided to ensure that we have the tools to take advantage of this new age? Because Stinnette & Brown is a green leader, will the company be doing workshops to keep people informed? What are the next steps?
I think that I am like many in the community who are aware of small changes that I can make in my own life to go green, but I need guidance in the areas of creating green jobs, etc. To that end, I hope you have more shows featuring Stinnette & Brown as I hope to be able to learn from their example. What kind of support is the Urban League providing to these young companies to ensure that they are sustainable and able to take advantage of this Green Revolution? I hope all are at the disposal of Stinette & Brown. Good job CUL and Next TV on finding a quality company to represent your entrpreneurship initiatives.
I am a 7th grader at Ariel Community Academy. I think that Stinnette & Brown are going to be very succesful green business people. I look forward to learning more about the green revolution.
I think Stinnette & Brown is already successful but, it is going to get better. The company is doing really well. Other companies need to follow their lead and become green. As a student at Ariel Community Academy, I want to learn to recycle more than I already did. Do you think Stinnette & Brown can come and speak at my school.
The green era has arrived. The question is how are we going to participate in it. Stinnette & Brown has done a terrific job of highlighting the need for African - American entreprenuers to be trailblazers in this movement. I look forward to seeing how green jobs can be created. I believe every industry can be made to be more sustainable and thus "green".
Going green can mean "greening" our schools so that they are safe, efficient, and creative environments for our children. Additionally, it will inspire these new users and consumers of green technologies to create their own. I hope that Stinnette & Brown will provide more updates as the share their green vision with others in the Chicago community.
As a real estate investor I can certainly relate to the Stinnette & Brown story. Watching this was extremely inspirational. It's uplifting to see an African American firm on the cutting edge of the Green Revolution and I hope to hear more about their progress.
Having viewed the segment on "Going Green" with the Stinnette and Brown Team, I am so very impressed with them stepping out on their own to find ways to better their communities both thru energy efficient and economic means. Next TV has just become my favorite program. It is so very informational. I am going to tell all of my family, friends and colleagues to tune in. I hope Mrs. Jackson and the Urban League will continue to follow the Stinnette and Brown Team, as we all are becoming more aware of the various "Green Projects" through them. I know I will be following them. Please keep us up to date with them getting their loan. They certainly deserve it.
It is inspiring to see what true entrepreneurs can do when they form a tight group of like-minded souls. Stinnette & Brown are exactly what is needed to bring in financial and human capital into neighborhoods that often are far-to-often overlooked. Keep up the amazing work! We are all supporters.
I think that the Stinnette & Brown Company are doing a great thing and they are making a big difference in Chicago. Hopefully this difference can move throughout the U.S to make the nation a much better place to live in. You guys keep up the good work and keep working to make the world a better place to live in!!
As a student in an A.P Environmental class I trully undersatand the type of environmetal crisis we are now in. I feel that the work of Stinnette & Brown is incredble and may be somthing to invest in as I get older.
Stinnette & Brown is a great company to watch. Their plan is efficient and helpful. Their works are spreading across Chicago and hopefully around the world. Progress may be slow, but the outcome will be rewarding. We support you!!!
In my opinion Stinnette & Brown is a very powerful company. They have a strong platform. They plan to not only help their neighborhood but the entire economy. They're green plans are great to help cure the recession.Though it may take some time for their plans to pull through,I believe it will happen. Go Green!
Seeing the segment on Stinnette & Brown's kinda made me see that there are really many opportunities out here for people to make money.I think that this plan they have going is incredble and kinda makes me think of maybe consitoring this when i am old enough but i feel that it is some thing that shoud be exposed ro the black community ASAP....And Not Even just black to all so that every one can invest into some thing that is going to make days alot brighter.......and the "future" something to look forward to
I am inspired by the vision of Stinette and Brown. They have seen the silver lining in these perceived dark economic times. I can't wait to see the next episode.
Viewing Stinnette and Brown was very inspiring and motivating. Their story is a testament to what hard work, dedication and perseverance is all about. This was my first time viewing the show and I'm hooked. I wish you the best in pursuing your aspirations. I'll be watching!!
I am so excited about the emerging green economy. The fact that the opportunity in going green exists in abundance is inspring and thought provoking. Stinnette & Brown are definitely at the helm of taking urban real-estate green and their story should be watched as I am sure their model will be mirrored in other metropolitan areas by young and excited green entrepreneurs.
I am THRILLED that so many of you, young and older, have chimed in and blogged about how a green economy could impact the community. As president of the Chicago Urban League, I've received numerous calls asking that we help make sure that the Green Revolution doesn't pass Black people by like the Digital Revolution did. So keep talking, keep learning and keep writing about it. The Chicago Urban League is committed to doing our part! Keep checking back at www.thechicagourbanleague.org for forums on this issue in the near future.
I think Next TV has sparked the minds of young adults by presenting people like Stinnette & Brown who were childhood friends with a common goal. By making the African American community more energy efficient while using the 3 P’s (People, Planet, and Profit) to complete their task. I look forward to seeing some of the innovative projects that these three intelligent, determined and thought provoking minds come up with next.
I was very impressed with the work and commitment exhibited by Stinnette and Brown on nextTV. Their passion for their profession was inspiring. It is very clear that they plan to implement change via the "Green Project" to the Engelwood neighborhood . My only question is how can I too be part of the initiative? Keep up the great work!!
I thought the video was good…it showed team work with the involvement of providing an eco-friendly environment for people during the process also stinnette and brown showed that they were determined and ready to make a change though there were up and downs and they had to separate their strengths and weaknesses.
I thought the video was very interesting about young people working together to build a company. I felt that takes a lot of commitment in order to provide eco-friendly neighborhoods. Stinnette and Brown show a lot of hard work in what they do. Nicholas bednarz
I feel that Stinnette&Brown is a great example of an eco-friendly business who is trying to change the way americans live one step at a time so we can co-exist longer. Going green is really important for the economy and can produce more profit and i feel that once agfian Stinnette&Brown is one fo the best examples of a business who is trying to revolutionize oue economy .
The video was kind of interesting and it showed how people came up with ideas for this project. Also Stinnette & Brown show and seperate their strength and their weakness which shows that they have most of their ideas setup which helps them.
Stinnette&Brown is a great orgainzation with an important purpose as entrepreneurs. A goal of creating a better environment shows their company would like to help the people. I also like how they would like to improve our economy and create oppurtunities for those in the community.
I thought that the show was interesting and that Stinnette & Brown were both showing that when it comes to business they make sure that they have a good strategy like seperating their strengths and weaknesses.
Making homes and other buildings healthier and greener can be a great help to the economy. Going green will help to save money and in the current economic times that would be great. Maybe Stinnette & Brown could boost the housing market because at certain times it is very scary to buy a home.
Stinnette & Brown bussiness could be a good way to help out the community. If everyone could get invloved with this project, its no telling how far it could go. I support this project 100%
A green collar job are jobs that are financially stable. They allow you to make a comfortable living for you and your family. They also have benefits such as vacations and medical insurance. Sinnete&Brown is great buisness that has the qualities of a green collar job. Their involvement within the community is also a great aspect.
I like how Stinnette & Brown are really working and trying hard to help people and keep thier business alive. Instead of letting it fail, they are turning it around using it to better other people through their "Green" process.I my self have a caterering business that at first started out really good and then almost failed. But through dedication and committment continued to persue my business, and used that experience to become a more successful entreprenur. So i really appreciate companies like Stinnette & Brown and prey that they are succussful.
Three days have passed and since I watched the Stinnette & Brown episode and I am still excited about this company. I am a health professional who works in a clinic that I would love to see go green. I hope to see the Urban League partner with Stinnette & Brown to provide training programs for the community at large.
Hello Stinnette & Brown, My name is Margery Scott. I am Kenwood Academy's JILG class reporter. In September 2008,I wrote an editorial on you and your business. I was very excited to see your episode on My 50 Chicago! I think that your "going green" idea will be very beneficial and successful. GOOD LUCK!!!
The first time I watched nextTV was this Sunday. A friend of mine referred me to the program. I was amazed at the exciting things Stinnette & Brown is trying to accomplish. As a person in the social services field, I see the importance of healthier "green" housing. Also, I see the importance of retrofitting office spaces. My question is how can we get this green movement going? Will Stinnette & Brown be doing seminars at the Chicago Urban League? My clients need information. Hopefully, the green information can get to all populations.
As a 7th grader at St. Thomas Apostle School, I like what Stinnette & Brown represents. I want our earth to be around when we get older. I know that you should unplug things you are not using. What else should we be doing? Are you coming out to schools to let us know how to be green? How can our school be greener?
In this desperate time, our economy needs people and products who will make our environment and living better. Stinnette & Brown is the perfect fit for what our country and world needs. Please, Please, Please, listen and learn from them because we don't want to be a people who say..."Man I wish we would have invested in that sooner."
Hi Stinnette and Brown My name is Morgan Riley I am 17 and I go to Kenwood Academy. I really liked how you guys are going green. We really need stay healthy and be aware about the environment and try to conserve and save energy. Also I like that you guys havent given up even though Americas economy is at its worst. You guys are still pushing and going forward showing me how you came from the same place as me, so I am capable of doing what you are doing and suceed even if obstacles like this are put in my way. I am anxious to see more and wish you guys the best.
I am Brandon Wilson and I am a 7th Grader at Kenwood Academy, and I think that the Stinnette & Brown company has a great motive towards going green. I think that if Stinnette & Brown were to make sections of their company just for scout workers, which would just find places that really negatively affect the environment, then you could really make the world green.
My name is Olivia Lang and i am currently a junior in Kenwood acedemy. Our Economy is in a very bad position right now and I think that what stinnette and brown are trying to do is a very positive change for communities and our economy as a whole. I also belive that its is unfair that the bank is not giving them a loan to complete their goal because if anyone derserves a loan they do. I am rooting for stinnette and brown to accomplish their goal 100%.
This was my first time watching nextTV. I missed the show on Sunday but had the opportunity to watch it online through changeyoucansee.com. I loved the Stinnette & Brown's feature. It inspired me to take the leap and become an entreprenuer. I have a great business plan now I going to make sure that it includes a "green element". Thank you Stinnette & Brown and the Chicago Urban League for helping me understand what green can be.
My second week watching nextTV. Loved the humanization of Ms. Brown and Ms. Stinnette, but the message and mission of Stinnette and Brown spoke volumes. Clear vision, great team and a worthy use of stimulus funding. Their program is an investment not an expense. An human investment through jobs, cost savings and just as important, natural resource savings. Once launched, their Green Retrofitting will become a self-fulfilling company.
Kudos to the production team for a fine program and thanks to Stinnette and Brown for having a triple bottom line vision.
I think going green is the way to go. I watch the show online and enjoy it very much. Thank you CUL for opening doors to companies like Stinnette and Brown, and also for revealing their story to a greater audience. I live in Florida and during my brief stay in Chicago; I watch Stinnette and Brown evolve to this new wave of "Go Get It Entrepreneurs.” They bring a breath of fresh air to generation like mine so we can strive for excellence. Jobs like retrofitting will bring jobs to the community so more money comes in our communities and more money for people doing the job. Win Win Situation for both minorities and stressed communities. I know that Stinnette & Brown will be successful in all off their endeavors.

I was extremely impressed with the segment on Stinnette & Brown and Green Building. This team's perserverance and understanding of entreprenuership exemplifies the "Yes We Can" Spirit. Keep up the good work!
Seeing the Stinnette and Brown team in action was inspirational! J.T., Gelene, and Isaac are achievers who have focused their efforts on growing a solid business that will create jobs and will grow our city, state and national economies.
Green is everywhere and a part of everything! Thanks to Stinnette and Brown, I now can imagine the tremendous possibilities for establishing and prospering as a successful Green business.
I'm glad to see that Stinnette & Brown are doing well! I started following the company when I found out about the project that they were working on with Chicago Public Schools to build a "green" home using CPS high school students. It sounds as if they have more great projects that will bring green concepts and GREEN JOBS to the masses, especially in underserved communities. Please keep up the good work and know that you have the support of "the people" even if you might not have the support of the establishment. Keep building momentum and stay true to your mission and I know that you will break through! Stinnette & Brown is showing that green is truly a lifestyle!
How exciting is it to watch african american entreprenuers launch a project as important as this one. Stinnette and Brown's business plan will reach many and has already encouraged some to make a conscientious decision to go green and give back to the community. Having the opportunity to watch this episode has introduced new opportunities for the most important viewer, our youth. Their company will provide jobs, nurture the environment and create a career track for our students who are wanting to enhance their own entreprenuer spirit. Thanks for being a model for many.
While green technology and conventional wisdom is by no means new, the current level of interest marks a mainstreaming of green conciousness.
I'm excited to see the example that Stinnette & Brown are setting in showing how the green movement can be integrated into a black and green movement. In addition to demonstrating the practicality of going green, their efforts go further to counter the traditional african american business discussions of underrepresentation, exclusion and lack of access and highlight the many possibilities for minority businesses to thrive in servicing the desire to expand the green movement.
I commend the Urban League for its work with this firm and suggest their continued support be integrated into long term initiatives.
Johnathan Coates Senior Vice Preseident of Construction Sunrise Senior Living

It is clear that Stinnette & Brown are going to be pioneers in the green movement. Their ability to realize the opportunity that is in front of them and to capitalize on it says a lot about the future of this company. They are hard workers whose ideas about going green within an urban setting are going to be beneficial for an entire community. I also want to personally thank them for all their help in helping me to become Leed certified!!
I am a freshman at Simeon High School. I am enjoyed the segment about Stinnette & Brown "going green". I was inspired by these entreprenuers. I look forward to hearing about more ways to go green.
The important question that the "green movement" answers is what will remain of our earth. For too long, we have abused our planet. If we do not transition to healthier living and building, we will see the devastating impact. I applaud Stinnette & Brown for understanding how their company can be leaders in green building movement. It is great to see that the environmental movement is starting to reflect the diversity of America.
The green era has arrived. Thank you Stinnette & Brown for ushering a new standard of excellence of how green entrepreuers should operate. The time is now. We need to mobilize to get this country back working through green collar jobs.
Because I live in Maryland, I had to watch the show online through the changeyoucansee website. I was immediately impressed and inspired to move after hearing Stinnette & Brown's story. As a Dermatologist and owner of two dermatology, surgical and vein centers, I understand the goals and achievement of taking your business to the next level. Congratulations Stinnette & Brown. My only question is when are you going to take Stinnette & Brown's story nationally?
I live in Maryland so I caught the show online. As a Radiologist, I see the impact of the environment on health. I celebrate Stinnette & Brown's initiative to bring green ideas to the urban landscape. My only caveat is don't make it so difficult for people outside Chicago to view the program. Go Green.
As a viewer in Los Angeles, I am happy to see stories of green entreprenuers like Stinnette & Brown making it happen for themselves. My question is has Diamond Bank given them a loan? What's going on? Stinnette & Brown needs to survive to keep sending out the positive messages that Green is inclusive.
tinnette & Brown is the new wave of entrepenuers. These entreprenuers understand the keys to success are to "go green", give back, and educate others so they can follow you. Thanks nextTV.
Stinnette & Brown are on the right path. Making a commitment to our society by means of protecting the earth and providing jobs is so very exciting !! I am very interested in actually watching their plan come to fruition. It will reach and have a huge impact on our community.
As a Young African American male, I find it very exciting to see STRONG African American Business Partners making smart moves. Stinnette & Brown are bringing true light to Green Collar Jobs. The show was very enlightening and inspirational. I can wait to see what will happen NEXT...
I'm senior class president at Bronzeville Scholastic Institute and I am elated to hear news from Stinnette & Brown about "going green". This action causes citizens to give back to their community as well as being more environmentally conscious. Keep up the GREAT episodes!!!
I just watched the NextTV segment on my dvr for the umpteenth time, and I cannot tell you how exciting it feels each time I see Stinette and Brown working their company, and pounding the pavement in their quest for a greener Bronzeville, a greener South Side, and a greener Chicago. Best Wishes and I have no doubt they are gonna get it done. Good Luck, Gelene, JT & Isaac!
Stinnette & Brown has a wonderful idea about going green. I am a senior at Kenwood and I think that it would be a great idea to have to Kenwood retrofitted green. Green is a the new wave and everyone should adapt to it.
My name is Crystal Taylor from Kenwood Academy, and my lifetime goal is to be an Earth Scientist. So the idea of going green and creating your own business in order to accomplish that goal is, to me, a highly admirable goal to reach for. The determination required and the amount of money that must be spent in order to reach this goal is based on whether or not you are willing to goal the distance for your environment.
My name is Cameron Taylor from Kenwood Academy. Stinnet & Brown programs seem very profitable. I never really been into going green but after seeing a preview of what it has to offer I will consider taking this further. Im glad that this program was brought to me. Thank you.
Stinette and Brown's vision for green building offer a breath of fresh air in this climate of bad news and collapsing real estate horror stories. I hope their dreams grow roots and sprout to the heights of success and fruition!
Hooray Stinnette & Brown! Thanks for inspiring a fellow entreprenuer. I know you are going to get the money from Diamond Bank so your mission can be realized.
Many thanks to the Chicago Urban League for highlighting Stinette & Brown's and their green initiatives. Energy efficiency and green building are the trends of the future, and I'm glad that Stinette and Brown are there at the starting gate, ready to take off.
I am so proud of Stinnette & Brown. I can't wait to celebrate all your successes as you guys realize your "green place" in this movement. Go green leaders.
I enjoyed watching the show with my sons. It is important for our children to see that there are African American entreprenuers forging a new direction. Stinnette & Brown is that role model.
Go Stinnette & Brown! I so happy for you guys. Thank you the Chicago Urban League for sharing their story. By the way, I loved the show. I will make sure to tune in this Sunday.

I was truly inspired by the segment on Stinnette and Brown that my sister got me to watch on the internet. I am in Senegal West Africa and I want to know how we can get green technologies over here. I am a Mechanical engineer and would love to include "Going Green" in my portfolio. Does Stinnette & Brown or the Chicago Urban league provide training in green business? It is a lot of money to be made here but we need the knowledge to do so. People need to be made aware of the new way of life and you guys are doing it. Keep up the good work! Merci
I am encouraged after reading everyone's comments. It is important for us to know that we are on the right track. I want to remind everyone that the CUL is a great resource for entrepreneurs. Gelene, JT and Ike, I am praying for your success!
Man, Kenwood is in the house strong! The students at Kenwood have so impressed me with their thoughtful comments and words of encouragement that the Chicago Urban League will come to their school with Stinnettee & Brown to discuss the Green Revolution and what it means for our community in terms of jobs and business. We'll be working with Kenwood's principal to set it up and hopefully, we'll see you soon! Cheryle Jackson, Presiden/CEO Chicago Urban League

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the show.
ReplyDeleteI think that I am like many in the community who are aware of small changes that I can make in my own life to go green, but I need guidance in the areas of creating green jobs, etc.

Stinnette & Brown has done a terrific job of highlighting the need for African - American entreprenuers to be trailblazers in this movement. I look forward to seeing how green jobs can be created. I believe every industry can be made to be more sustainable and thus "green".
ReplyDeleteGoing green can mean "greening" our schools so that they are safe, efficient, and creative environments for our children. Additionally, it will inspire these new users and consumers of green technologies to create their own. I hope that Stinnette & Brown will provide more updates as the share their green vision with others in the Chicago community.
ReplyDeleteAs a real estate investor I can certainly relate to the Stinnette & Brown story. Watching this was extremely inspirational. It's uplifting to see an African American firm on the cutting edge of the Green Revolution and I hope to hear more about their progress.

their loan. They certainly deserve it.

Stinnette & Brown are definitely at the helm of taking urban real-estate green and their story should be watched as I am sure their model will be mirrored in other metropolitan areas by young and excited green entrepreneurs.
ReplyDeleteI am THRILLED that so many of you, young and older, have chimed in and blogged about how a green economy could impact the community.
ReplyDeleteI think Next TV has sparked the minds of young adults by presenting people like Stinnette & Brown who were childhood friends with a common goal. By making the African American community more energy efficient while using the 3 P’s (People, Planet, and Profit) to complete their task. ReplyDeleteI thought the video was good…it showed team work with the involvement of providing an eco-friendly environment for people during the process also stinnette and brown showed that they were determined and ready to make a change though there were up and downs and they had to separate their strengths and weaknesses.
ReplyDeleteI thought the video was very interesting about young people working together to build a company. I felt that takes a lot of commitment in order to provide eco-friendly neighborhoods. Stinnette and Brown show a lot of hard work in what they do.

ReplyDeleteStinnette&Brown is a great orgainzation with an important purpose as entrepreneurs. A goal of creating a better environment shows their company would like to help the people. I also like how they would like to improve our economy and create oppurtunities for those in the community.
ReplyDeleteI thought that the show was interesting and that Stinnette & Brown were both showing that when it comes to business they make sure that they have a good strategy like seperating their strengths and weaknesses.

Making homes and other buildings healthier and greener can be a great help to the economy. Going green will help to save money and in the current economic times that would be great. Maybe Stinnette & Brown could boost the housing market because at certain times it is very scary to buy a home.
ReplyDeleteStinnette & Brown bussiness could be a good way to help out the community.

ReplyDeleteBrittany, high school senior
I like how Stinnette & Brown are really working and trying hard to help people and keep thier business alive. Instead of letting it fail, they are turning it around using it to better other people through their "Green" process.I my self have a caterering business that at first started out really good and then almost failed. But through dedication and committment continued to persue my business, and used that experience to become a more successful entreprenur. Three days have passed and since I watched the Stinnette & Brown episode and I am still excited about this company. I am a health professional who works in a clinic that I would love to see go green. I hope to see the Urban League partner with Stinnette & Brown to provide training programs for the community at large.
ReplyDeleteHello Stinnette & Brown,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Margery Scott.
ReplyDeleteAs a 7th grader at St. Thomas Apostle School, I like what Stinnette & Brown represents. I want our earth to be around when we get older. I know that you should unplug things you are not using. What else should we be doing? Are you coming out to schools to let us know how to be green? How can our school be greener?
ReplyDeleteIn this desperate time, our economy needs people and products who will make our environment and living better. Stinnette & Brown is the perfect fit for what our country and world needs. Please, Please, Please, listen and learn from them because we don't want to be a people who say..."Man I wish we would have invested in that sooner."
ReplyDeleteGoing Green is the only way to go!!!

I am anxious to see more and wish you guys the best.
ReplyDeleteI am Brandon Wilson and I am a 7th Grader at Kenwood Academy, and I think that the Stinnette & Brown company has a great motive towards going green. I think that if Stinnette & Brown were to make sections of their company just for scout workers, which would just find places that really negatively affect the environment, then you could really make the world green.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Olivia Lang and i am currently a junior in Kenwood acedemy.

ReplyDeleteMy second week watching nextTV.
Now - who is going to fund such a worthy project?

ReplyDeleteHow exciting is it to watch african american entreprenuers launch a project as important as this one.
ReplyDeleteWhile green technology and conventional wisdom is by no means new, the current level of interest marks a mainstreaming of green conciousness.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see the example that Stinnette & Brown are setting in showing how the green movement can be integrated into a black and green movement.

ReplyDeleteThe important question that the "green movement" answers is what will remain of our earth. For too long, we have abused our planet. If we do not transition to healthier living and building, we will see the devastating impact. I applaud Stinnette & Brown for understanding how their company can be leaders in green building movement. It is great to see that the environmental movement is starting to reflect the diversity of America.
ReplyDeleteThe green era has arrived. Thank you Stinnette & Brown for ushering a new standard of excellence of how green entrepreuers should operate. The time is now. We need to mobilize to get this country back working through green collar jobs.
ReplyDeleteBecause I live in Maryland, I had to watch the show online through the changeyoucansee website.
ReplyDeleteI live in Maryland so I caught the show online. As a Radiologist, I see the impact of the environment on health. I celebrate Stinnette & Brown's initiative to bring green ideas to the urban landscape. My only caveat is don't make it so difficult for people outside Chicago to view the program. Go Green.
ReplyDeleteAs a viewer in Los Angeles, I am happy to see stories of green entreprenuers like Stinnette & Brown making it happen for themselves. My question is has Diamond Bank given them a loan? What's going on? Stinnette & Brown needs to survive to keep sending out the positive messages that Green is inclusive.

ReplyDeleteStinnette and Brown can help make jobs and better our communities. I hope they get the MONEY!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Crystal Taylor from Kenwood Academy, and my lifetime goal is to be an Earth Scientist. So the idea of going green and creating your own business in order to accomplish that goal is, to me, a highly admirable goal to reach for. The determination required and the amount of money that must be spent in order to reach this goal is based on whether or not you are willing to goal the distance for your environment.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Cameron Taylor from Kenwood Academy. Stinnet & Brown programs seem very profitable. I never really been into going green but after seeing a preview of what it has to offer I will consider taking this further. Im glad that this program was brought to me. Thank you.

ReplyDeletetogether. Stinette and Brown have been so very dedicated in sharing their information with us on "Going Green." This is such a "Hot Topic"
one in which we would love to develop a
summer job work project around. I think it
would be great for all of our students to learn more about "Going Green" as soon as
possible. We would love for Stinette and Brown
to come to our next Local School Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 14th, so that they
can share their information with the Council
and thus begin a collaboration with our school
and our community about "Going Green."
We feel we have a personal connection with
Stinette and Brown, and this is a great thing!
John Hope Academy is out there! We heard your call. Stinnette & Brown is ready and willing to come to your school and speak about the Green Revolution. It is our mission not only to educate but create "green jobs". We want our youth to see the green economy as a opportunity economy. Do you see yourselves in a green future? You should.
